Announcements for the upcoming week...June 1.

Our Kindergarten, First and Second Grade Awards Day will take place Monday, June 1st. Kindergarten will begin at 8:30, First Grade will begin at 10:30 and Second Grade will begin at 1:00. Our Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Awards Day, along with Mrs. McFerren's Class awards day will take place Tuesday, June 2nd. Third Grade will begin at 8:30, Fourth Grade will begin at 10:00, Mrs. McFerren's class will begin at 11:30, and Fifth Grade will begin at 1:00. Doors to the auditorium will open 30 minutes prior to the start of each awards ceremony. We ask that you refrain from bringing flowers, balloons, etc. to students during awards day, as they will not be able to receive the gifts until after school is over. We encourage you all to come and join us! Awards day is such a fun day at the Ridge!

Our last day of school for this school year is Wednesday, June 3. Students will be released at 1:00. After school care will be open until 6:00. Please remember to send a handwritten note to school with your child if their transportation needs to change from the regular method of transportation on the last day of school.

We have had the best year at the Ridge! Thank you so very much for all of your support and hard work!! We look forward to a fabulous last week at the Ridge!!

Anuncios para la próxima semana... 1 de junio.

La ceremonia de entrega de premios para kínder, primero y segundo grado se llevará a cabo el lunes 1 de junio. La ceremonia de kínder comenzará a las 8:30, la de primer grado a las 10:30 y la de segundo grado a la 1:00. La ceremonia de entrega de premios para tercero, cuarto y quinto grado, junto con la de la clase de la Sra. McFerren, se llevará a cabo el martes 2 de junio. La ceremonia de tercer grado comenzará a las 8:30, la de cuarto grado a las 10:00, la de la clase de la Sra. McFerren a las 11:30 y la de quinto grado a la 1:00. Las puertas del auditorio se abrirán 30 minutos antes del inicio de cada ceremonia. Les pedimos que no traigan flores, globos, etc., para los estudiantes durante la ceremonia, ya que no podrán recibir los regalos hasta después de que terminen las clases. ¡Los invitamos a todos a acompañarnos! ¡La ceremonia de entrega de premios es un día muy divertido en Ridge! El último día de clases de este año escolar es el miércoles 3 de junio. Los estudiantes saldrán a la 1:00 p. m. El servicio de cuidado después de clases estará disponible hasta las 6:00 p. m. Recuerden enviar una nota escrita a mano a la escuela con su hijo/a si su transporte escolar necesita cambiar el método habitual para el último día de clases.

Announcements for the upcoming week...May 25.

Monday, we will celebrate Memorial Day; therefore, school will be closed for students and staff. We will resume on a regular schedule Tuesday, May 26.

End of Grade Test Results will come home with our third through fifth grade students Tuesday. Please be on the look out for that information. If your child was not proficient in an assessment, they will have the opportunity to retest Wednesday through Friday of this week.

Second Grade parents, please be on the look out for summer school invitations Tuesday, as well. Students are invited to summer school based on their performance on the End of Year mClass assessment. Invitations will come home with your child Tuesday.

Lunch visitors are welcome Tuesday of this week; however, due to retesting, the remainder of the week, we ask that you refrain from coming to eat lunch with your child. Lunch visitors will resume on a regular schedule the last week of school.

We are extremely proud of all of our students for their performance on the End of Grade Assessments in all grade levels. We want to continue the momentum this week as retesting is offered.

Anuncios para la próxima semana... 25 de mayo.

El lunes celebraremos el Día de los Caídos (Memorial Day); por lo tanto, la escuela permanecerá cerrada para estudiantes y personal. Retomaremos nuestro horario habitual el martes 26 de mayo.

Los resultados de los exámenes de fin de grado llegarán a casa con nuestros estudiantes de tercero a quinto grado este martes. Por favor, estén atentos a esta información. Si su hijo no alcanzó el nivel de competencia requerido en alguna evaluación, tendrá la oportunidad de volver a presentar el examen entre el miércoles y el viernes de esta semana.

Padres de estudiantes de segundo grado: por favor, estén atentos también a las invitaciones para la escuela de verano, las cuales se enviarán este martes. Se invita a los estudiantes a asistir a la escuela de verano basándose en su desempeño en la evaluación de fin de año mClass. Las invitaciones llegarán a casa con sus hijos este martes.

Las visitas para almorzar serán bienvenidas este martes; sin embargo, debido a la realización de los exámenes de recuperación, les pedimos que durante el resto de la semana se abstengan de venir a almorzar con sus hijos. Las visitas para almorzar se retomarán según el horario habitual durante la última semana del ciclo escolar.

Estamos sumamente orgullosos de todos nuestros estudiantes por su desempeño en las evaluaciones de fin de grado en todos los niveles académicos. Deseamos mantener este impulso durante la presente semana, mientras se llevan a cabo los exámenes de recuperación.

Announcements for the upcoming week...May 18

This week, our kindergarten, first and second grade students will wrap up their end of year testing. Additionally, our third, fourth and fifth grade students will take their End of Grade Tests this week. EOG's for our third, fourth, and fifth grade students will take place Wednesday through Friday. Wednesday, our students will take their reading assessment. Thursday, our students will take their math assessment. Friday, our fifth grade students will take their science assessment. Please be sure your child gets a good night's sleep each night prior to their assessment, has a great breakfast the day of their assessment, and is at school early each day. We are excited for our students to show off how much they have learned this school year! They are all going to do great!

Please know that there will be no lunch visitors at Rock Ridge this week due to End of Grade Testing and our building being under testing conditions. Lunch visitors will resume next week; however, that date has not been determined yet.

Esta semana, nuestros estudiantes de kínder, primer y segundo grado concluirán sus exámenes de fin de año. Además, nuestros estudiantes de tercer, cuarto y quinto grado presentarán sus Exámenes de Fin de Grado (EOG) durante esta semana. Los exámenes EOG para los estudiantes de tercer, cuarto y quinto grado se llevarán a cabo de miércoles a viernes. El miércoles, nuestros estudiantes realizarán su evaluación de lectura. El jueves, realizarán su evaluación de matemáticas. El viernes, nuestros estudiantes de quinto grado presentarán su evaluación de ciencias. Por favor, asegúrese de que su hijo duerma bien cada noche antes de su evaluación, desayune muy bien el día del examen y llegue temprano a la escuela cada día. ¡Estamos entusiasmados de que nuestros estudiantes demuestren cuánto han aprendido durante este año escolar! ¡A todos les irá de maravilla!

Les informamos que esta semana no se permitirán visitas a la hora del almuerzo en Rock Ridge, debido a los Exámenes de Fin de Grado y a que el edificio se encontrará bajo condiciones de evaluación. Announcements for the upcoming week...May 11th.

As we continue towards the end of the year, our students across all grade levels are preparing for or taking their end of year assessments. Please be sure your child is at school daily, ready to work hard each and every day.

This week in Tuesday folders, our school nurse, Ms. Rose, will be sending home Emergency Action Plans for the 2026-2027 school year. Additionally, she will be sending reminders to families who will need updated medication forms on file for next school year in order for medication of any kind to be administered at school. Please be reminded that these forms can be completed over the summer and returned at the beginning of school so that there is no lapse in medication next school year.

We want to give a special shout out and thank you to all of you who assisted with Teacher Appreciation Week last week! It was a wonderful week and our teachers truly felt the love! We are truly blessed by the continued support from our families at Rock Ridge!

A medida que nos acercamos al final del año escolar, nuestros estudiantes de todos los grados se están preparando para sus evaluaciones de fin de año o ya las están realizando. Por favor, asegúrese de que su hijo asista a la escuela todos los días, listo para esforzarse al máximo cada jornada.

Esta semana, a través de las carpetas de los martes, nuestra enfermera escolar, la Sra. Rose, enviará a casa los Planes de Acción de Emergencia para el año escolar 2026-2027. Además, enviará recordatorios a las familias que necesiten actualizar los formularios de autorización de medicamentos para el próximo año escolar, requisito indispensable para que se pueda administrar cualquier tipo de medicamento en la escuela. Les recordamos que estos formularios pueden completarse durante el verano y entregarse al inicio del ciclo escolar, a fin de evitar cualquier interrupción en la administración de medicamentos el próximo año.

¡Queremos hacer un reconocimiento especial y expresar nuestro agradecimiento a todos ustedes por su colaboración durante la Semana de Agradecimiento a los Maestros la semana pasada! ¡Fue una semana maravillosa y nuestros maestros realmente sintieron su cariño! ¡Nos sentimos verdaderamente bendecidos por el apoyo continuo que recibimos de nuestras familias en Rock Ridge!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of our teachers and staff members at Rock Ridge!!! All of our teachers and staff members truly go above and beyond to meet the needs of all of our students. They put the needs of the students at the center of every decision that is made within our building and it shows each and every day! Please join me in celebrating them all this week during Teacher Appreciation Week!
If you have signed up to assist with our last PTO Hospitality luncheon of the year, please have all items at Rock Ridge prior to 10:00 on Tuesday. We appreciate your support!!

Please make sure you review the WCS dress code policy, as we will continue to enforce it through out the remainder of the school year. As the weather gets warmer, we need to ensure that all of our students have on attire that is of appropriate length for school. Also, be reminded that tops should have straps that are 2 inches wide, if not wider.

Por favor, asegúrense de revisar la política de código de vestimenta de WCS, ya que continuaremos aplicándola durante el resto del año escolar. Announcements for the upcoming week...April 27.

Our end of year assessments begin this week. Our K - 3 students will begin taking the end of year mClass reading assessment. We encourage our students to put forth their best effort on all components of this assessment.

Our Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade students will extend their learning outside of the classroom this week. Please check your Class Dojo Stories this week for important information regarding this field trip.

Friday, May 1 is a teacher workday; therefore, students will not be in school. School will resume on a regular schedule Monday, May 4th.

Please be reminded that it is not too late to register your child for Kindergarten for the upcoming school year. Our goal is to have all students enrolled by the end of June! Please share with your friends and neighbors, as well! Feel free to reach out to the front office with questions or concerns.

We want to give a BIG shout out to our STEM teams today for all their hardwork and dedication. The teamwork they demonstrated was top notch. We could not be more proud of them. We ended the day with two awards. Our Team 1 received the award for having the best name. Our Team 2 ended up winning first overall and brought home the trophy! 🎉🏆

Good afternoon, this is Mrs. Burroughs, with a yearbook reminder.

Yearbook orders are due Thursday, April 23rd. We will not take pre-orders after this date. There will be a select number of yearbooks available once the pre-orders are passed out and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Yearbooks will be $25 and there will be no holds.

If you order online, please be sure to turn in your envelope with the confirmation number from your receipt. These are also due Thursday.

La fecha límite para realizar los pedidos del anuario es el jueves 23 de abril. No aceptaremos pedidos anticipados después de esta fecha. Habrá un número limitado de anuarios disponibles una vez que se hayan entregado los pedidos anticipados; estos se venderán por orden de llegada. El precio del anuario será de $25 y no se realizarán reservas.

Si realiza su pedido en línea, por favor asegúrese de entregar el sobre con el número de confirmación que aparece en su recibo. La fecha límite para entregar estos sobres también es el jueves.
