That’s a wrap on !

We had a great week in Savannah catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and having some great conversations about veterinary medicine and what’s ahead.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to spend some time with the Vets Pets team. We enjoyed connecting with you and hope to see you again next year!

This week’s review recognizes the team at ! 🐾

“Holly Springs Veterinary Hospital has cared for both of my dogs, Whoopi and Nona, for the last five years, and I truly cannot say enough about the kind of people who work there.

During Nona’s recent illness, I was terrified and willing to do whatever it took to get answers. At one point, we were preparing for about $1,000 in additional testing. After looking more closely at what we were dealing with, the team told me they did not believe those tests would give us the answers we needed, so they did not do them.

Instead, they were honest, ethical, and focused entirely on what was best for Nona.

They genuinely tried to help me navigate an incredibly difficult situation, and that level of care meant so much.”

— Kathleen H.

Thank you to the Holly Springs Veterinary Hospital team for providing thoughtful, compassionate care and for always keeping the needs of pets and their families at the center of what you do.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. John Scully to AVL Animal Urgent Care!

Born and raised in Asheville, Dr. Scully is excited to help provide timely veterinary care in the community he calls home. After earning his veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota, he gained experience in general practice, emergency medicine, and surgery. His time throughout Western North Carolina also showed him the need for an urgent care option that could bridge the gap between busy general practices and 24-hour emergency hospitals.

Outside of work, Dr. Scully enjoys traveling, fly fishing, and spending time in the mountains with his wife and baby boy.

We're glad to have him on the AVL Animal Urgent Care team.
