Its Fire Prevention Week!!
It is important to have a home fire escape plan that prepares your family to think fast and get out quickly when the smoke alarm sounds. What if your first escape route is blocked by smoke or flames? That's why having two ways out is such a key part of your plan. This year’s theme,“Have 2 Ways Out!”, focuses on the importance of fire escape planning and practice.

Wilson Fire/Rescue Family Day today Wedgewood Golf Course. 1100-300.
Come out and join us today at Lowes Safety Day. 930 unitl 2:00. We will be checking and installing car seats and of course there will be Fire Trucks from several area departments.
After 8 hours Capt Sumner is out of surgery. The doctors said they got all of the cancer without damaging any muscle and with little damage to his voice box. He is in recovery and is doing well. Thank you all for your prayers and concerns. Now he starts the long recover process. Please continue to keep Captain Sumner and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Capt. Michael Sumner (Teachy) Fundraising
A planning meeting for the upcoming fundraising events is scehduled for Wednesday September 19, 2012 at 7pm at WFRS station 1 on Hines St. We need to discuss and plan for any fundraising ideas. We will also talk about assisting the family during his stay in the hospital and when he arrives home.
