Rock Ridge Elementary Library

Before Christmas break, our students colored and wrote greeting cards. These cards were delivered to Spring Arbor, Wilson Pines, Longleaf, and Harmony Park. A special thanks to Bailey F. and her family for delivering the last set today. Hopefully these cards brought smiles to these seniors' faces.

Voting has now ended. Winners will be announced tomorrow.

It is time to vote for your favorite ornament! The ornament with the most 'likes' will win a $25 gift card to our Scholastic Book Fair. Feel free to share the post, but only votes on the original post will count. Comments/messages will also not be counted. Voting will end on Thursday at 3:00.

The students all did a fabulous job!

(If I missed posting any ornament, please let me know ASAP. I tried really hard to get them all photographed before hanging them on the tree. However some were put on the tree without my knowledge. I hope I caught them all.)

Library books are due this Friday. I will be collecting them as classes come to me this week. I will collect the books from my Thursday and Friday classes prior to testing. I will be sending notices home between now and the end of the year of missing books. If your child receives a notice, please help them locate the book(s). Lost books will receive a fine. If you have any questions, please let me know.

The 2025-2026 Battle of the Books list is available. If your rising 4th or 5th grader loves to read, I would like them to consider trying out for the team next year. I have copies of the list in the media center.

The Book Fair will be here before we know it! It will run from February 24th-March 3rd. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to me (Mrs. Burroughs) on Dojo.

More information will be coming home next week in Tuesday folders.

Yesterday, many of our classrooms took a "BookBreak" with author, Mary Pope Osborne. They participated in a live stream and got to learn all about how she created The Magic Treehouse. This was a great opportunity for our students following our One Book One School initiative last school year with Midnight on the Moon.
