Four years after the invasion into Ukraine by Russia, we wanted to share just a fraction of the photos we've taken since then of Ukrainian refugees and families that have made their way to North Carolina, where we are based. We know how much they want to return to their life, friends, and loved ones in their homeland. 💛💙

It's a new year, and we are already in planning phases to photograph families starting next weekend. It's going to be a great year...

*If you know families who have lost everything or had to start over because of conflict or disaster, we want to hear from you! We partner with local community members and organizations that families trust. It's an essential part of the process.

Retake's 2025 Annual Report

Thank you to everyone who gave for Giving Tuesday! With matching donations from GlobalGiving, we raised $361 for our work photographing people surviving conflicts and disasters and $75 specifically to photograph migrant families at the border.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to us for ! GlobalGiving is still matching donations for part of today, so there's still time to show some support! So far we have raised $310 for our campaign that supports all our work and $64 towards our work specifically at the border photographing migrant families. The two projects are below! THANK YOU!
