Taking a small detour through Mahoning Valley Speedway this Saturday to compete in the Race of Champions Modified Tour opening event!

I will be driving for a long time Pennsylvania-modified driver John Markovic. I visited this track as a crew member twenty years ago and watched John take the win that night, I'm excited to be the driver this time around.

Quick little tip for you guys out there.

Doing a quick bump-steer check on the house car before bringing out the gauges. If you don’t have turn tables all you really need to check bump-steer is a section of square tubing clamped to the rotor, tape measure and a jack to take it though the motion for rough (but simple) estimates.

We have fabulous weather today, a great field of racers, and a full house in the grandstands. Enjoy the race, and be safe to all racers.

FYI, Moving everything has been a royal challenge. The main goal is to simplify life, bills and work. Now located on a small farm, with a large building for the race shop. I am currently building a shop in shop, that I can work in A/C. Kinda hard to weld when your helmet mask fogs up from facial sweat! Jake Kaminski a I finished our Front Wheel Drive project, built a VW Jetta, and documented and filmed development. We will be creating a DVD to offer on building, set-up, etc. Due to the popularity of this class, we felt it would be a great addition to the school. We will also offer seminars on the subject. Will post photos to follow on all subjects.
