Check out these before and after photos! With all the rain this past week, we're reminded of jobs like the Bleckley Street Drainage Project and just how important stormwater infrastructure is for our communities. This past June we wrapped a yearlong project where we worked as a subcontractor to Wildcat Construction Co., Inc. Our team helped build over 1,100 feet of new drainage channel designed to improve stormwater flow and help reduce neighborhood flooding during heavy rain.
From placing 4,000 cubic yards of concrete to installing 200 tons of reinforcing steel, this project delivers a long-term solution that helps protect nearby homes, streets, and residents. 🌧️💪

Since our founding over 75 years ago, UCI has worked on a vast array of construction projects from water and wastewater treatment plants to globally scaled renewable energy facilities, with clients from small rural towns to the world's largest energy firms. Our projects can range from $15,000 to $50,000,000+. Today, we're highlighting a project we completed for the City of Haysville Kansas in the early 2000's.
This job consisted of pedestrian access improvements to Riggs Park, Dewey Gunzelman Municipal Swimming Pool, Haysville Activity Center, and school district property. This work encompassed the installation of 6000 linear feet of sidewalk, drainage and earthwork, pathway lighting, fencing, a new parking lot, and a pedestrian bridge over Cowskin Creek.
Have you seen visited this park? Do you remember this job? Tell us about it! ⬇️
