Meet Meeko and Abbie ๐ These two bonded sugar gliders cane in together and will need to leave together ๐ก Meeko is a 2-year-old male and is neutered! Abbie is a 6-year-old female and is NOT spayed! They were obtained by someone after they were going to be released into the wild. They are calm, cuddly, independent, curious, shy, and vocal โค๏ธ They will require very specific care and would do best in a home without small children. They have a very pungent odor and may p*e and p**p on you (speaking from experience). That said, they are both very cuddle, like to snuggle, and love being in a pouch together ๐ฅฐ Come visit these friends today! Meekoโs photos are 1-5, Abbieโs are 6-11 ๐ธ

Meet Doug the Goober, whoโs our newest Subaru of Wichita Su-Paw-Star ๐ To be honest, weโre not sure why Dough is still here ๐ค He LOVES people and is so sweet! Doug is about 3.5 years old and fully grown at 52 lbs. He is well-behaved, kennel trained, shows signs of house-training, walks well on the leash, and already knows โsitโ ๐ค๐ฝ Doug loves calm cuddles, soaking up the sunshine outside, and napping with a cozy blanket โค๏ธ Heโs equal parts goofy and sweet, with expert-level snuggling skills and enough personality to keep you smiling every day ๐ Independent studies have officially confirmed that Doug is a full-blooded goober, and he takes this title very seriously ๐งช Heโs a more mellow boy looking for an adopter with the time to walk, play with, and cuddle him ๐ฅฐ Doug would do best in a home without cats, rabbits, or chickens, but he is kid-tested and parent-approved! Think this velvety hippo could be your best buddy? Visit Doug the Goober today ๐ฆ

Come visit Denali โค๏ธ She's 1 year old and weighs 51 lbs! We're told she's a pittie and husky mix! She was surrendered due to not originally being their dog and them not having the time to care for a dog. She's affectionate, playful, curious, friendly, active, and social ๐ฅฐ She's lived with 2 cats and was playful with them ๐ฑ While she hasn't lived with any children, she did briefly interact with one during her photoshoot through the bars. She likes pets, tug-o-war, roughhousing, and playing chase ๐ She LOVES playing with other dogs at the dog park ๐ถ She is housetrained and kennel-trained ๐ก Her ideal family would have other dogs or take her to the dog park and go on daily runs with her ๐ฆฎ If that sounds like you, come visit her today!

๐ข FREE MICROCHIP CLINIC โ ๏ธ Come to our FREE Microchip Clinic, happening THIS SATURDAY, June 6th! Your pet canโt speak for themselves, and without any ID, itโs extremely hard to tell whoโs a stray and who has an owner ๐๐โโฌ 1 in 3 pets go missing at some point, but a microchip can help them get back home! More reasons to microchip:
๐ถ Dogs with microchips return home at a rate of 52.2%, compared to only 21.9% of non-microchipped dogs
๐ฑ Cats with microchips return home at a rate of 38.5%, compared to only 1.8% of non-microchipped cats
๐ Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice, and sit painlessly under the animalโs skin
โค๏ธ A single microchip lasts for your petโs entire lifetime, and information can be updated online
๐ Injecting a microchip requires NO surgery or anesthesia
This Saturday's clinic is FREE! Pre-registration for a time slot is required beforehand, and a small deposit is required to reserve your spot, but this will be refunded to you upon entry. If you do not make your appointment, the deposit will be kept as a donation ๐ At the clinic, all dogs must be on a leash, and all cats must be in a carrier. We ask that there be 1 handler per pet ๐โ๐ฆบ A BIG thanks to Subaru of Wichita for sponsoring the clinic!
Reminder: If you move or change phone numbers, remember to UPDATE your microchipโs information. If you've adopted an animal from KHS, you can check/update their microchip registration at https://www.24petwatch.com ๐พ
