The gods of metal mourn today! 😢 I'm so sad to say my friend Mark Shelton is no longer with us.

He was kind and funny and created the most powerful metal known to man! I heard "Crystal Logic" when it came out and have been a devoted fan since. Also proud to call him my friend. Mark even helped us get the deal with Black Dragon 1985, so he's a big reason Candlemass even recorded albums like "Epicus" and "Nightfall". If he wouldn't have been there at the B.D. that day in Paris things could have been very different.

Now when he's gone there will be a large hole on every true metal stage around the world.
A place he will not be tomorrow, next month or next year There will also be a hole in my my heart forever, because Mark Shelton, the King of of Epic Metal is gone! Rest in peace my friend! May the Lords of Light be with you!
