Our campus was buzzing with energy this past weekend! 🏆
We had the absolute privilege of welcoming over 33,000 student-athletes, coaches, families, and fans for an unforgettable weekend of high school sports. From all the action at the KSHSAA State Track & Field meet (the largest high school track meet in the nation!) to the 5A and 6A baseball and softball tournaments, the talent on display was unmatched.
We had a blast getting to know so many of you, whether we were chatting at our table or giving you a lift across campus on a golf cart! 🛺👋
Thank you for making our campus your home for the championships, and congratulations to all the competitors. We absolutely loved having you here, and we hope to see many of you back on campus as future Shockers! 🎓

WSU GoBabyGo students design and build adapted toy ride‑on cars that help children move, explore and engage with greater independence. As the program marks 10 years, this work represents a decade of applied learning, collaboration and community impact.

Taking a massive leap of faith, Julius Thomas III left his scholarship at a different university and to transfer to Wichita State. 🎭✨
In our latest Shock Doc, Julius returns to the Wichita State University stage where his journey began. He opens up about what it really takes to make it in showbiz—from auditioning for Hamilton to the unexpected childhood hobby that booked him a role in Broadway’s Xanadu.
Now, more than 20 years into a thriving career, he’s back on campus to mentor the next generation of Shocker artists, and look back at a career that far exceeded his wildest dreams. 💛🖤

Former Shocker in the NBA Finals! 🏆
Former Wichita State standout Landry Shamet is officially headed to the 2026 NBA Finals with the New York Knicks!
The Knicks locked up the Eastern Conference crown with a dominant 130-93 win over Cleveland, with Shamet firing up 16 points in 19 minutes and 4-of-4 from three.
Shamet is the 6th former Shocker to reach the NBA final, he joins Fred VanVleet, Antoine Carr, Cliff Levingston, Dave Stallworth, and Nate Bowman.
