From NWS Wichita: "Confidence has increased some regarding the threat of severe weather later today through tonight. There are two possible scenarios… 1) individual storms develop this afternoon and form a bigger line of storms by this evening or
2) a line or two of storms drops southeast through the area. Scenario #1 would pose a threat of large to very large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado or two. Scenario #2 would be more of a wind threat, with a few instances of hail possible."

Severe weather is expected today but the worst is likely to stay out of the KS/OK border. Northern TX and OK are more likely to see tornadic cells or large hail. It looks like Kansas will still get heavy rain and some severe thunderstorms but the worst outbreak will likely stay south of us. We will still have a potential for thunderstorm or tornado warnings.
That being said - always stay alert and aware of the weather. It can be a whirlwind of change sometimes.
