Some stories don’t age. 18 years ago, I started telling this story. The Kid with the Green Backpack was born from real hallways, real dreams, real pressure, straight out of my high school years.

Created with my brother , known at the time as SEVEN, we made one of our most ambitious projects before the Blog Era ever existed. We never fully released it because it always felt…sacred. These photos were just a piece of the imagery we had creating this album, and there’s even a concept throughout them as well.

Now in 2026, it’s time to bring the story full circle. Sounds wild to say but “The Kid with the Green Backpack” is officially out now! In its most original form. Thank you all 🙏🏾💚

I’ve been working here for nearly 3 years and have made so many friends and connections through the airport, and truly feel the weight of how heavy and close this hits home 💔 Much love to my American Airlines fam & friends 🙏🏾

Back in 2013, after leaving Warner Bros., I took a break from releasing music. For 5 YEARS, the question followed me: ‘What happened?’ ‘Where’d you go?’ ‘Are you still making music?’ Through all that darkness, I never lost the light within me.

When I returned in 2018 and dropped TDWTSBDH in 2019, it was more than a comeback—it was the start of a new chapter. Year by year, I’ve worked to evolve my sound and connect deeper with my fanbase and grow in this new age post Blog Era. Fast forward to 2024, and the growth is undeniable. 🙏🏾💪🏾🏆

This year, you all showed UP for me—and “Blog Era Is Dead” might just be my best work yet. We finally hit a MILLY+! And seeing the love through my only fuels me to go harder.
