Every day, Wichita firefighters answer the call to help those in need. Today, we're answering a different kind of call. Your Wichita Fire Department is proud to join Blood Cancer United and participate in the Battle of the Badges, a friendly fundraising competition that brings first responders together to support individuals and families facing blood cancer.

Cancer impacts every community. It affects our friends, neighbors, family members, and sometimes even our own brothers and sisters in public safety. That's why we're stepping up to help raise funds for research, patient support programs, and resources that give hope to those in the fight of their lives.

Who's ready to answer the call?

Join the Battle of the Badges and help us prove that when first responders come together, we can make a real difference. Together, we serve. Together, we save lives.

Feel free to donate to the department you want to support:

This week the Citizen's Fire Academy had the opportunity to hear from executive staff Fire Chief Snow, Deputy Chief Pavelski and Fire Marshal Dugan. The class was given the chance to ask questions as well. Afterwards everyone headed outside to meet crews from Stations 7 & 13 and tour the rehab bus command unit.
