It all started at TOP. TOP Executive Director, Cornelia Stevens, and her daughter, Aaliyah Huebert, a TOP 2008 graduate, celebrate her Toque Ceremony. This tradition signifies the completion of a culinary arts program. During the event, graduating students are presented with a traditional tall, white chef's hat, symbolizing their achievement in the culinary field.

SUN Bucks benefit distribution begins tomorrow for families with children who were approved for SUN Bucks 2026! The $120 one-time benefit (per eligible child) will be loaded onto a family’s existing EBT card or on a new EBT card that will be mailed to the family’s home.

Benefits are expected to be distributed in order of last name over the next week.

If you did not receive a SUN Bucks approval letter from DCF, but believe your child may be eligible, you can submit an application at SUNBucks.dcf.ks.gov. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2026.
