Super nice two-tone kitchen we finished the first of this year. The dark cabinets match a dry bar on the other side of the room that we built a year and a half ago. The dry bar has the same leaded glass as the kitchen cabinets. Same crown moulding on the dark cabinets but we used a slightly smaller crown on the white cabinets (nice detail). The pantry cabinet has 5 soft-close pullouts in it. The family loves it!

We are in the middle of building an arched top exterior entrance door and I will post a few photos when it is finished, but for now here are a few doors from our recent past.

We pretty much cover woodworking and furniture making from top to bottom and while our specialty is not turning wood we certainly are capable of it. Here are a couple of turnings that we have made in the past. The bed was one of two for a local family. The round display stand is one of two that we made and we coopered the cylinder using white oak then used a special setup with a router to turn the outside and inside. Lastly, the four small legs were made for an ottoman, that we made and designed in house.

We finished and sent 3 of these chairs to the finisher this past week. We are probably the only shop in town that could make these chairs that are based on an 1800s Hepplewhite oval back chair. These lack the detail around the oval back of the Hepplewhite but make up for that with the teak inlay in the back splat. The chair on the right is an original from the 40s. The family has 5 chairs and wanted to have 8 total. The back legs and oval were mostly a shaper project and the inlay was made using hand tools and a small bench-top cnc. Red leather was used for the slip seats.

Even though we made this some time ago it still looks great and the purpleheart still has that vibrant purple color. We call it the criss cross table. We made in 4 different woods.

We finished a number of pieces for this family including a walnut platform bed. They decided to have us make a couple on night stands to go with the bed. The wife looked at our wood samples and chose zebrawood (great choice). We used zebrawood for all surfaces including solid zebrawood for the turned legs and the hand-cut dovetailed drawers. The drawer front curved out on one side for the handle. Super cool and fun piece to make (involved kerf bending for the box.

We built this credenza for a local family that has a great collection of European antique furniture. The husband wanted a piece that features similar to mid 1600s furniture. The piece is quartered white oak including all of the moulding that we made in-house. The turned details were turned whole then split in half. There are a total of 8 drawers all dovetailed, the top 3 are hand-cut single-entry style. We had a local artistic finisher do a distressed old world finish.

One of our specialties is range hoods and more specific is curved hoods. This one is one of the largest that we have built. Mario is dwarfed by it, it is his legs that are visible. This hood is for a wonderful family on the West side of town. They contacted us to have us build their kitchen but we were already deep into another project and could not meet their schedule. We did end up making this hood and their kitchen island. We also added under cabinet molding to the upper cabinets (it is that finishing touch, looks great).

We have been super busy and have finished and delivered a number of pieces this year. This console table is made using ebony veneer and will be delivered this week, check it out. The ebony has subtle but very nice figure in it.

Here was a fun project--make 2 wood mallets using the Blue Spruce mallet as a model. Both have osage orange (hedge) heads and one has a tulip wood handle and the other has an ebony handle. The tulip one has ebony trim and the ebony has ivory trim. We made the handle go thru the head and is wedged with one tapered pin in the center and 4 side wedges. We think they turned out very nice!

Just finished this dry bar this week. It has stained glass, wine bottle holders and a very popular detail--back-lit Mica in the top. The back splash is glass as well.

We are recognized here in Wichita for our curved range hoods, but we also build other shapes and styles. Here are couple recent installs.
