About the Owner and CEO Lisa Woods...

Experience:
I have worked professionally with the IDD/MI population since 1993. Originally I started working in Direct Care with individuals in Residential group home settings. During my tenure there, in 2009, I was promoted to Assistant Residential Manager as well as Vocational Rehabilitation Director. The following year I was promoted to Residential Supervisor, and then eventually into Case Management. I was instrumental in developing the new concept of Residential services to the IDDD/MI community in 2012, and subsequently was offered a position as Expansion Director of a project called the “Extended Family Teacher” model. I oversaw and developed this program in Sedgwick, Butler and Cowley counties. Recognition & Awards:
In 2012 I had the honor of receiving the “Tommy Johnson Award” and the “Creative Contributions Award” for my excellence and creative influences to the Extended Family
Teacher program. Again in 2013 I was honored for my services and development of the program, and was recognized by nine Kansas State Legislators and Senators. Education:
I attended Calvary Bible College from 2002 to 2006. My studies were focused in Biblical Counsel and Intercultural Studies. From 2009 to 2012 I studied my BA at Tabor College in Business Administration. Leadership:
From 2005 to 2009 I traveled to Africa yearly speaking at women seminars focusing my speeches on "women working in the corporate world". Addressing many different women’s groups. Since 2013 I am currently a Quality Assurance volunteer for the Sedgwick County Developmental Disability Organization, and in 2014 I became a volunteer for the Kansas Guardianship Program. In 2016 I accepted a seat on a Behavior Management Committee for a local Case Management Organization here in Wichita. In 2016 I've participated in Trauma Informed System of Care Supervision Group Coach engaging with Wichita State University’s Community Engagement Institute.
