School is almost out, and you know what that means. The Summer Reading Program is returning to your Wichita Public Library! ☀️📚 Unearth a story this year when you pick up a reading log at any library location starting May 21.

These dino-themed logs will help with goal setting and progress tracking so your young ones can earn free prizes for completing personalized goals, with a chance to win grand prize drawings courtesy of Scheels, the Sedgewick County Zoo and more! 🦖

And since nobody is too old for adventure, adults can participate too! Either read any five books or complete 5 out 10 suggested library activities to win free swag and be entered into a grand prize drawing for a Family Plus membership to the Museum of World Treasures. 🔎

Plus, we'll have tons of free educational events and activities for all ages all summer long! Join us, you're going to dig this year's Summer Reading Program, Wichita! 📚

BOOK IT! Summer of Stories is back for another fun-filled, nostalgic summer of reading adventures and pizza prizes!

Our summer program officially begins TODAY, June 1 and runs through August 31 for children in PreK–6th grade nationwide.

✨ The first official reward claim period opens July 1!

Parents, here are a few important reminders:

📅 Reading days must be marked on the calendar inside the BOOK IT! App. If you miss a day, you’re able to go back up to 7 days.
📖 Children must read at least 15 days within the month, and parents must track those reading days in the app calendar to qualify for their pizza reward.

KID'S CORNER is a special space created just for the youngest members of our Juneteenth celebration! Filled with fun, engaging activities, it's a place where children can play, learn, and enjoy the festivities while making lasting memories in the park.

Juneteenth ICT and Storytime Village have partnered to bring our youth the ultimate Literacy Party! This event is one families will LOVE.

Participate in an interactive story time with Superintendent of Wichita Public Schools Kelly Bielefeld. Plus, more fun and entertainment including a dance party with DJ Super Mario.

The mission of Storytime Village Inc., with the support of parents and the community, is to inspire a lifelong love of reading for under-served Kansas children from birth to age 8. And we're proud to have them be a part of the celebration!
