For Severe Weather Preparedness Week, many communities across Kansas will be taking part in the statewide tornado drill. Tornadoes are capable of destroying well-made structures, uprooting trees and hurling objects through the air.
On Wednesday, March 6, at 11 a.m., Sedgwick County’s outdoor warning system will activate. We encourage you to walk through your tornado shelter plan with your families, employees or students.

This year's City-Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 8AM to 5PM. Permits are $10.00 which offsets the cost of advertising. The last day to register your sale is April 15th. You can still get a permit after this date, but there is no guarantee you sale will be listed on the sale map.
