Last week in Butterfly 1, we explored the exciting world of scientists! We learned about the special tools scientists use, what they wear to stay safe, and the important work they do. We also discovered how scientists plan and conduct experiments. To put our learning into action, we became scientists ourselves and conducted an experiment to see if we could make corn kernels dance! By mixing water, baking soda, and vinegar, we created a bubbling reaction that made the kernels move and "dance." It was a fun and exciting way to learn about science through hands-on exploration!

This week in Dragonfly 1, we explored the wonderful world of gardening and plant growth! The children enjoyed learning about seeds, soil, and the things plants need to grow strong and healthy. We participated in hands-on activities, created garden-inspired artwork, and used our imaginations to build and care for our own pretend gardens. Through play and exploration, we discovered that gardening is a fun way to learn about nature and the world around us! 🌱🌻🪴✨
“The act of creating for young children is about the process not the outcome. Children need to explore, take risks, and make their own choices. This is the richness of creativity. This is the ground work for future problem solvers.”

We had a great first week of summer in Ladybug 2! This week we focused on getting to know our new friends and learning the routine of our classroom. With all the rain this week the kids were really interested in all things rain and storms. We learned about umbrellas and opened the windows to listen to the calming sounds of the rain. We also panted rocks for the children to take home and place in their gardens then we ended the week painting outside with our friends.

This week in Ladybug 1, we learned about gardening and growing! The children explored what plants need to grow and discovered how gardens help provide us with flowers, fruits, and vegetables. We painted beautiful gardens, used toys and building materials to create our own garden spaces, and learned how trucks can help transport supplies needed for gardening. We had so much fun learning through hands-on play and exploration! 🌱🌼🚚
