Ear lynx tips are one of the most recognizable Maine C**n traits, so much so that many people now assume they’re required for a cat to be purebred.
Many breeders work hard to produce that dramatic look. But visible lynx tips can vary quite a bit from cat to cat. Some purebred C**nies have huge, striking tufts. Others have much subtler ears while still fully fitting within the breed. ➤https://www.maine-coon-cat-nation.com/maine-coon-lynx-tips.html

When you think of a Maine C**n what’s you’re first thought? “Big fluffy cat.”
A true Maine C**n is more than size.
The breed originated naturally in North America and developed to survive harsh climates. They developed through natural selection in New England’s harsh, cold climate, resulting in their thick, water-resistant coats and snowshoe-like paws. That’s why they have:
• A shaggy, water-resistant coat
• Lynx-tipped ears
• Heavy boning
• A long, rectangular body
• A bushy, raccoon-like tail
• Slow maturation (they don’t fully develop until 3–5 years old)
Structure matters. Temperament matters. Pedigree matters.
Not every large fluffy kitten advertised online is a Maine C**n.
