The Corner

If you haven't noticed, the blessing box has been moved to a new location at the Corner. We feel this location is better lit for safety and easier to get to on the level pavement. You can almost drive right up to the box and drop off items to help those in need in our community. Thank you for your continued support as we reach out to those in need in Wichita Falls.

We still have spots available but this is the last week to sign up!

The Corner Community Center together with Christmas In Action are hosting a free Christmas Dinner! If you know of an individual or family that would be blessed by this please have them call The Corner at (940) 687-2476 to RSVP. (Spaces are limited)

The Corner received this message today that I just had to share! We are so thankful for this family!

"To whom it may concern:
I am a mother of 3 young kids, however my almost 4 year old son ask me today what that box was on the corner of 11th and bluff. I told him that it is called The Blessed Box. What is that he ask?? Well it where people who don't have something to eat or drink can come take from it and don't have to pay for it. Well we drove by and he said mama there is nothing in it and we need to fix that issue!!! He picked everything out and help put it in there this morning. We are members at First Methodist Church and 2 of 3 children go to School for Little People and we drive by in everyday."

I was really encouraged to see this today. God bless them in their efforts!

We had a great time at our first Divorce Care for Kids class last night. If you are still interested or know someone who might be, it's not too late to join. Call the Corner Community Center for more information (940) 687-2476

Beginning Sept.11th, we will be offering Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) at The Corner. DC4K is a special group to help kids heal from the hurt caused by separation and divorce. This is a 13 week group that meets on Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (supper provided). The cost of the program is $15.00 per person with scholarships available. DC4K is open to all kids age 5-12 years old. Contact the Corner Community Center for more information.
