Big HUGE thanks to all the volunteers who helped organize 17 VEX Robotics kits! We’ve got 8 LEGO EV3 education kits that we may need help organizing next week. If you are interested in donating an hour or two of your time to get those ready, contact your friendly neighborhood TAG teachers for details!
Wait until you see what these kiddos build with these Robotics kits! to a TAG group near you! 😉

We’ve been busy working with Bloxels and Gamemaster Mechanic for students to build their own video games, FROM SCRATCH!
4th grade has been 3D printing characters for an engineering project, Angry Birds style!
These kids have some great things coming up, and we can’t wait to share more!

We’ve had a great week in TAG! Students began learning to code in Third grade, started thinking about 3D designs for an Angry Birds style project in Fourth, Fifth is touching the surface of Green Screen videography... and more!!!
All students should now be in this year’s Seesaw classes, and families should ABSOLUTELY sign up for their student’s account! It is the BEST way to stay up to date with what your student is doing in TAG and see amazing work, videos, and photos from their time at Carrigan!
4th and 5th graders should have posted videos of their favorite place or thing at TAG this week, and 3rd graders (most classes) were able to get a video of their group coding with the sphero!
4th and 5th graders also took a look at some graphic design by learning how to use Google Drawing to create their own superhero emblems! Here are just a few examples of some of the incredible work that the students are doing! These first few weeks have really just scratched the surface of our year embracing the four Cs of 21st Century skills! (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, Collaboration)
Stay tuned for more exciting news from your Talented and Gifted program!

So proud to share this story about our very own fifth grader! We have so many amazing Genius Hour projects in fifth right now! Here is one example of just how much impact one student’s passion can make. Share this story with everyone and if you can drop off a new pair of socks to Crockett to support Anthony’s project, that would be even better!
