I apologize for the EXTREME delay in responding to any inquiries about tutoring this SUMMER.
I wish I could but due to certain life events this past year & I’m taking a step back to adjust.
I also returned to teach for WFISD for Fall & Spring & my focus was on stability for me and my son & acclimate to my new position. 🏫
I also moved my business out of the current location this May so it is more of a climate controlled storage unit than an office space currently. I need this summer to get it all put back in order.
🚚………..📦 📦📦📦📦
I do plan to reopen Decode Learning Hub, LLC. next summer for sure & possibly sooner but for now I’m tutoring myself on “self-care” & embracing “my new normal”.
Thank you again for all your support, patience & I hope you stick around my page for May 2027!❤️

Good morning!
Today is the FIRST DAY of Summer Tutoring!
Many times people can’t understand HOW I’m so excited to “work” through the summer but it’s truly my favorite two months of the year to work.
Summer just hits different…. The academic workload has subsided, the kids have camps and trips and family adventures they are eager to share with me, our short 45-minute but highly targeted sessions allows the skills to absorb more quickly and effectively, I incorporate novelty and game style learning where they are excited to come see me, and the progress is double or triple in the summer!
How could I not want to teach in the Summer!
I cannot wait to see where Summer Tutoring leads us! Onward and upward!💚
05/28/2025
Please don’t spend your entire summer with that lingering question of “I know we need to do something but what should we do?”
I want you to experience the relief of enjoying the summer without your child resisting reading, I want you to watch them transform from reader avoidance to curious, willing to try, and eager.
Please reach out if you’d like to work together so I can help bring back the joy of learning to read, build confidence in your learner where they aren’t afraid to fail, and let’s send them off to the next school year with a new strength and set of skills to conquer their reading with excitement and confidence.
Tutoring for the Summer Transformation begins June 2nd!

The countdown has begun for Summer Tutoring & Sessions are already filling up!
Who Am I?
My name is Amy Janjgava and I am a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist that provides explicit phonics instruction to provide structure and a framework to reading, spelling, and handwriting to children (specifically focused on Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, First grade, and second grade) My background as a former kindergarten teacher, special education facilitator, dyslexia therapist, and 20+ years of successful experience with children, no matter their unique learning processes, allows me to not only partner with the families on supporting their child at home but I help with advocacy, consultation, IEP or 504 support, and so much more.
What does Summer Tutoring look like?
1-on-1 Tutoring sessions are 100% customized to your child's specific needs, skills they need more practice with so it becomes automatic, while personalizing their instructional experience to their interests, unique learning differences, and a compassionate patience to not only guide them academically but to help them find their confidence, their voice, and the power they have in overcoming obstacles while they experience growth!
Do you have to be Dyslexic?
Although children with Dyslexia are my favorite peeps... no you do not have to be dyslexic to attend tutoring. I do have the option of Take Flight Dyslexia Therapy for students that have been identified with dyslexia and can commit to the schedule of therapy to ensure fidelity.
However, majority of my students just need some individualized time with someone that understands and can implement an intensive intervention that explicitly addresses areas that a child might have struggled to grasp within the year.
Some Reasons:
- COVID impacted those critical years of phonics/sound articulation/spelling instruction.
- Speech articulation is impacting sound articulation/decoding and needs help connecting the oral language to written language.
- ADHD or just being the younger of the grade level requires a little more practice and review of instruction that might have been missed or they were not mature enough to handle the information the first time.
- Maybe the year ended where your child feels less excited or confident and you don't want them to go into the next year feeling unsure or anxious.

HAPPENING TONIGHT!!
This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to talk about Dyslexia.
One of my favorite quotes is:
“The smartest person in the room, IS the room!”
IN THAT ROOM, you will have a number of individuals that specialize in working with or evaluating children with dyslexia. In that room, you may find the district coordinator, Dyslexia evaluators, dyslexia interventionists that are throughout the district, parents of children with dyslexia, and a wealth of knowledge.
I highly recommend taking advantage of opportunities like these because it fosters connections, allows for information gathering, encourages sharing of mutual experiences, and either you will get your questions answered, or you will find out who to call to get your questions answered.
I’m so excited for the Wichita Falls community as we continue to grow in our discussions & solutions to support one another and MOST IMPORTANTLY lead to success for ALL CHILDREN in the areas of reading, spelling, writing and confidence!

Happening now:
I love “family adventures” that give real life experiences & naturally motivating topics for learning. 🛻 🚜🚓🏎️
Experiences naturally create questions and inquisitive thoughts. 🤔 💭
Then you have opportunities to research with them for answers later (the concept of GO DEEPER into their curiosity) 🧐
You are building up their “prior knowledge” bank so when they are in an academic setting later reading a book, or a science passage or hearing a whole group discussion… they can make the connections and relate to the new information they are being given. ⛓️💥
This expands their vocabulary, natural opportunities to “interview” the presenter, then later they can practice speaking or writing down their thoughts in complete sentences to develop their writing and expression… this can lead to abilities to edit and revise their work… you can see patterns that form wha spelling rules you want to work on. 🗣️ ✍🏽
There are sooooo many avenues you can take with this one event & it will be something the kids are naturally motivated to talk about… all because they can relate to something- paired joy and excitement to that topic because of the experience- and our minds are naturally inquisitive with wonder! 👦🏻 💭
Tap into that! You will be surprised how you cans incorporate ANY and ALL subjects into a simple roadside pit stop event. 🤩

This is one of the BEST videos I have come across for proper sound articulation! The only adjustment I would make is to have the unvoiced /th/ sound be continuant, not a stop. She stopped a little too abruptly (but that is nitpicking).
TOO OFTEN I have a struggling student and their family come for a consultation and I discover after just the first 10 minutes of literacy activities with their child that their sound articulation is extremely distorted.
Pronouncing sounds is the FIRST STEP to decoding a word accurately. I love to use the example of sounding out the following word:
/p/ /l/ /a/ /n/ /t/
The child will usually say: /pUH/ /lUH/ /a/ /nUH/ /tUH/
Well, "Puhluhanuhtuh" will never sound like "plant" because of all the added sounds they hear as they are blending phonemes.
* BUT before correcting our children's distortions we MUST MODEL these sounds correctly, every single time we give it. We must be very intentional when saying the sounds to our children. We cannot be LAX or VAGUE when giving the child the sound a letter makes.
"Close enough" isn't good enough! Be explicit and have unwavering concentration when you are working with your child on sounds & the IMPROVEMENTS will be amazing!
Since I am in Texas, we are proud southerners, country folk, southern drawl, "Howdy" and "yall" and "fixin' ta" relaxed way if speaking and that is OK... for casual conversation.
But when must "code switch" so to speak: We need to learn to speak the way we want to spell and write. That begins with accurate sound articulation and then practicing the accurate sounds when decoding words and reading. Doing all of that will also transfer into spelling with more accuracy and success because we are able to write the sounds we hear, and the sounds we hear are the correct sounds.
Please check the video out, practice on your own to get an "ear" for those correct articulations, and then start working on those sounds with your child.
As always, if you would love a partnership to help your child be successful.... Please reach out! You are Amazing & Thank you for your unwavering dedication to help your child succeed!

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is: “Do they have to be dyslexic to come here?”
Answer: “Absolutely not! (Although those are some of my favorite & hardest working kiddos out there 🥰)
I work with ALL children that have a need in the area of decoding (reading) and encoding (spelling)- at any level or intensity.
Students may be:
➡️ Excelling at math but hate reading.
➡️ Can sound out words but struggle to blend.
➡️ Can read the words but are slow and labored at reading sentences or passages.
➡️ Are doing fine in their class but are only getting by thanks to memorization or pictures.
➡️ Are 3rd-6th grade but have not mastered those fundamentals phonics taught PreK-2nd
➡️ Have no trouble reading but struggles with confidence and anxiety kicks in come test time.
➡️ Students are in younger grades but have advanced their peers and would like instruction on advanced 2+ syllable words or affixes/roots
➡️ They need someone else to reinforce what’s taught at home because kids sometimes don’t believe their parents 😂 (I know because I’ve had to do this with my own child)
There are NUMEROUS WAYS & NUMEROUS REASONS tutoring can help ANY CHILD… but it all just has to start with a phone call ☎️
Below is an amazing breakdown of how explicit structured literacy can reach EVERY CHILD… the only thing that differs is the level of intensity and duration of the support. If you’d like to learn more or would like to discuss if Decode Learning Hub Tutoring is the right fit for what you are seeking… I’m just a phone call or a message away. 💚
