An Extremely Critical Fire Weather outlook has been issued for tomorrow (Wednesday) from the Texas Panhandle into western Oklahoma.
- Winds of 30 mph with gusts to 50+ mph
-Relative humidity in the single digits
- Critically dry vegetation

Wichita County EMO assisted Electra Fire and WCSO with this fire on Hwy 287. Good solid work was performed by all agencies, and minimal traffic flow was interrupted during the operation.

Yesterday, Monday, October 30th, the Wichita County Commissionres’ Court lifted the County burn ban which had been in place since the 14th of August. This move came after Wichita County received more than 4” of rainfall which dropped the wildfire threat significantly.

Please remember, we want to make it home after our shifts. Be aware of the risks to first responders when passing stopped emergency vehicles.
Also keep in mind, when you see an emergency vehicle with lights on, move to the RIGHT and STOP whether it's behind you or approaching. That's the law.
