📚✨ Our NEW WFISD Digital Yearbook Archive is officially LIVE! ✨📚

The WFISD Foundation is proud to launch a brand-new initiative focused on preserving the history and memories of WFISD students for generations to come.

🔗 View the archive here: https://wfisd.historyarchives.online/

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we currently have FIVE yearbooks digitized and available for viewing on the site — with many more planned as funding becomes available!

Eventually, the archive will include:
🎓 Hirschi High School yearbooks (1960s–2024)
🎓 S.H. Rider High School yearbooks (1960s–2024)
🎓 Wichita Falls High School – Old High yearbooks dating back to the 1920s!

This searchable digital platform will allow alumni, families, and friends to:
🔎 Search for classmates by name
📖 Browse historic yearbooks online
💙 Reconnect with memories and milestones from across generations

A gift of just $150 helps digitize one graduating class yearbook.

As donations come in, more yearbooks will be added and shared publicly for our entire community to enjoy.

Help us preserve WFISD history forever:

In 2019, after the passing of beloved Coyote soccer player Ramon “LG” Gonzalez, the Coyote Soccer Booster Club introduced a $500 scholarship in his memory.

Since Old High closed in 2024, it was decided to turn over the scholarship to the WFISD Foundation so LG’s memory would continue on for generations to come. The scholarship recipient must be a male soccer player from either of the WFISD high schools who plans to attend a university or trade school.

Tuesday, May 12th, the WFISD Foundation presented the Ramon “LG” Gonzalez Memorial Scholarship to Jackson Bohannon from Memorial High School. Jackson will continue his education at Texas Christian University. Congratulations, Jackson!

Previous recipients include:
2025 - Carter Petersen
2024 - Michael Horn, Carlos Munoz
2023 - Fernando Gonzalez
2022 - No Recipient
2021 - Allan Enriquez, Davis Mays
2020 - Marco Barron, Kordell Dorman

Our first-ever Top Mavs Scholarship recipient spotlight.

Last night, we had the privilege of attending the WFISD Foundation Scholarship Reception and recognizing Jackson Bohannon as one of the inaugural recipients of the Top Mavs Scholarship, presented by Memorial Mavericks Sports Network.

Jackson represents everything this scholarship was designed to honor—excellence in athletics, academics, leadership, and character.

🏆 President of Memorial High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes
🏆 2nd Team Academic All-State – Football
🏆 2nd Team Academic All-State – Soccer
🏆 The only male Academic All-State soccer honoree in WFISD
🏆 Honorable Mention All-District Defensive Player – Soccer
🏆 Senior Class Officer
🏆 WFISD record holder for made kick attempts in a playoff game (10-for-10, 2024)

Jackson has made his mark on Memorial both on the field and in the classroom, but what stands out most is the way he leads and represents Maverick Nation.

Congratulations, Jackson—we’re proud to invest in leaders like you.
Jackson will be attending Texas Christian University in the fall.

Special thanks to Nikki Davis, WFISD Community Partnerships Coordinator, and Susan Grisel, WFISD Foundation President and Board Trustee, for helping make this special night possible.

This is what Top Mavs is all about. Mavs On Top!
