Treenewal is an environmentally conscious business started in 2013 by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) with the goal of supporting sustainability and helping young aspiring entrepreneurs grow. Profits go towards educating UW-Whitewater CEO members through keynote speakers, inspirational activities, workshops, and real life learning experiences.
In addition, a portion of our revenues fund other student organizations on campus and support micro-loans for student start-ups. Treenewal clears your conscience and helps you eliminate your carbon footprint by planting trees on “forever wild” land. When you sponsor a tree, you will receive an email with the exact photo and geo-location of the tree you supported. We offset our operations carbon footprint and provide others with an easy platform to do the same, all while helping in the development of tomorrows great entrepreneurs. Trees are purchased by our partner, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and are planted by campus volunteers in southern Wisconsin. As an extra incentive to sponsoring a tree, we send our customers a geo-located picture in an email of their newly planted investment. With the help of Treenewal, travelers, homeowners, and earth conscious individuals can easily offset their carbon footprint by sponsoring our trees. We don’t have to sacrifice a strong economy for a healthy environment.
