One of the many challenges I faced as a young Army leader, shortly after re-enlisting while on deployment in Afghanistan in 2004-5 ... was increasing unit morale in a deployed environment.

To start, Military protocol is much different than a businesses culture that you come across in your community or online.

Back then,

It was norm to just publish a stereotypical standard operating procedures for work place conduct; then monitor and enforce standards ... which wasn't always pleasant ...

Fast forward to today ...

Your Team Creates Its Culture ... You Don't.

Have you asked your employees what they like and dislike about your culture?

What pain points they're experiencing within the organization?

And, What could be improved?

Food for thought???

It isn't what you think your culture is or what you write on your website about your culture; it's what your employees are saying about it ... or about you.

Again, Culture is created by your team, not you.

Start asking and start listening.

It’s your job to guide them and give your team the tools, resources, and opportunities to create a workplace that the entire organization envisions, and ultimately it should fuel everyone to hit business goals.

A year ago ... I had a team member leave us because ...

she needed more money to pay bills and expenses.

I'm sure you experienced the rise in inflation a year ago.

So, I went on the HUNT to help ...

Sent out emails to colleagues and partners for their assistance.
