Check out this beautiful Polyphemus moth sitting outside the shop this morning! If you come and she’s still there, please check her out up close but don’t touch. Nature truly is wonderful, and part of the reason we do what we do.

Reminder that we accept plastic grocery sacks - egg cartons - glass jars (free of odor and with a lid) - and gently used books! These are a few of the ways we are able to help folks keep these items out of the landfill and given a second life. Recycling is great, but it shouldn’t be a first line of defense against waste.

Bringing your existing containers here to fill them up with pantry staples helps keep single use packaging down. If you have more jars than you can handle, bring them down to let someone who forgot their container give it some use!

When a customer calls in search of enough local produce to make a salad for 80 people, we make it happen!

The request: as local as possible lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers so the event attendees can rest safe knowing it’s clean.

Of course getting twenty heads of lettuce in a couple days was a challenge, but Green Leaf Acres Hydroponics came through. They are located in Holmes County OH. Check them out on Facebook!

The tomatoes came from Breezy Acres Farm in Triadelphia WV and were just picked this morning.

The cucumbers are from Porch Light Moments personal garden in Beallsville OH.

THANK YOU to these farmers and Thank you to all our community members choosing to support local where they can. It’s making a huge difference in so many ways.

We have plenty of extra heads of lettuce here in our fridge if you too are missing your salads, so stop in and grab some for just $3.50 a piece 🄰
