The Recorder’s Office is thankful to the Woodridge Public Library, who facilitated a booth for us to speak to the public of Woodridge concerning our Property Fraud Alert Program with over 20 new participants enrolled.
The free Property Fraud Alert program is your first line of defense in case of Property Theft or Property Liens. Our office will alert you immediately when any document is recorded on your property, and work with you, the Sheriff’s Office and the State’s Attorney if the document was not recorded by you.
Reach out to sign up today by calling (630) 407-5400 or visiting our website: https://www.dupagecounty.gov/elected_officials/recorder/property_fraud_alert.php

The DuPage County Recorder’s Office wishes you a Happy Father’s Day.
On this day, we appreciate the fathers, grandparents, brothers, friends and found family that have been a supportive shoulder when we needed it most. They laugh with us, cry with us, and push us to be better versions of ourselves; and for that we are thankful.

Today the DuPage County Recorder's Office recovered a piece of DuPage County history.
After being absent for an estimated 25–30 years, Plat Book 2 has finally returned to the DuPage County Recorder’s Office. This remarkable volume documents some of the earliest development and subdivision activity in DuPage County and is an important part of our county’s historical record. We understand the book was loaned to the Wheaton Historic Preservation Council by former Recorder Rick Carney many years ago and was never returned.
We are grateful to court-appointed Receiver Nancy Flannery, whose commitment to preserving history helped make the book’s return possible. Her efforts ensured this invaluable piece of DuPage County’s history could be restored to its rightful home.
The Recorder’s Office is proud to serve as the keeper of DuPage County’s land records, and we are thrilled to welcome Plat Book 2 back where it belongs. As you can see in some of the photos, the old plat book has sustained significant wear & tear, and our office continues to work towards the goal of preservation and digitization of all of our books.
