We believe in gentle, honest care. At Prairie Path Wellness in Wheaton, our acupuncture services focus on one-on-one treatments in private rooms. We listen first and personalize your plan. We don’t push extra services. Acupuncture can help with pain, stress, fertility, headaches, and more — and it works safely alongside other care you may be receiving such as fertility care or PT.

If you’re new to acupuncture, expect a calm space, a short health review, and a session designed for you. Many people feel more balanced and less stressed after treatment. We take time to answer your questions and respect your pace.

We’re in-network with most PPO plans and offer straightforward pricing. Ready to try a gentle, drug-free approach to wellness? Click to learn more.

The discovery of a breech baby can often bring worry, but there is a powerful and time-honored supportive therapy available: Acupuncture and Moxibustion (Moxa) therapy.

As a complement to standard prenatal care, Moxa is a gentle, non-invasive method that has been used for centuries to encourage the fetus to turn naturally.

How Does It Work?

The therapy involves applying heat from a smoldering Moxa stick to a specific acupuncture point (BL-67, or Zhiyin) near the little toe. While the exact mechanism is studied, it is theorized that this heat and point stimulation:

1. Increases Fetal Activity: The gentle stimulation can encourage the baby to move, giving them the incentive to flip head-down.

2. Relaxes the Uterus: It may help to relax the uterine muscles, creating a more favorable environment for the baby to reposition.

3. Optimizes Maternal Health: By improving circulation and reducing stress, it supports the overall pregnancy wellness that is essential for a successful turning.

This treatment is typically most effective when started around 32 to 36 weeks gestation. Our clinic is dedicated to providing this safe, effective, and supportive care to help you achieve a natural, head-down birth position.
