Happy Anniversary, Family Tree!

Today, June 10th, marks the founding of Family Tree in 1976. Originally established in Jefferson County to fill service gaps for individuals affected by child abuse and domestic violence, Family Tree expanded into homelessness services in 1989.

Over the years, Family Tree has grown to include Women in Crisis (now Roots of Courage, 1977), House of Hope (2001), Generational Opportunities to Achieve Long-term Success (GOALS, 2019), and Marshall Street Landing (2025).

Today, Family Tree serves the seven-county metro area. In the last fiscal year alone, we provided direct services to 6,465 individuals, including more than 2,600 children. We responded to 14,208 crisis and helpline calls and provided 28,749 nights of safe shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
