My name is Judson Frost, and I’m an emerging mental health professional specializing in Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work with clients in person at Connections Counseling outside of Golden, CO, as well as virtually online.
I completed my IFS training through the IFS Institute, and this approach has profoundly influenced the way I understand healing and support clients. IFS recognizes that we all have different “parts” of ourselves that often developed as adaptive responses to difficult or painful experiences. These parts may continue to respond to life from patterns that originated earlier in our lives, even when those patterns are no longer serving us.
In our work together, I help clients develop curiosity, compassion, and greater understanding toward their internal parts, rather than judging or fighting against them. The goal is to build a more trusting relationship with ourselves and create greater freedom in how we respond to life.
IFS can be helpful for people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, chronic pain, stress, and difficulties with emotional regulation. It can also provide a meaningful framework for understanding recurring patterns in our relationships, work, and everyday lives.
If you or someone you know is looking for a supportive, compassionate therapeutic relationship, I’d be happy to connect.
Sessions are $50, and I accept Colorado Medicaid and other insurance plans. Remember there are no bad parts 💛

Hello, I’m Izaak Herman! I am intern counselor with Connections Counseling.
I focus on supporting people who are navigating anxiety, depression, and life-transitions. I believe that everyone has an innate ability to grow and heal using the wisdom and knowledge of their bodies. I draw upon somatic and body-based techniques, a relational approach, person-centered therapy, and narrative therapy. I also base my therapeutic approach off each of my client’s unique lived experiences, identities, social and cultural context, and what is most important to them. I believe the relationship between the therapist and client is vital to the client’s healing and growth; I value building safety and trust with clients. I bring a sense of humor, gentleness, and warmth into sessions with clients.
