A few thoughts from my heart after many months away from social media โค
This extended break was so restorative for my mental health and for the health of my business. I've been away from social media, but I haven't taken a step back from my nutrition practice at all.
I think I'll be coming back here soon, but it's going it's going to look different. I'll be here to share helpful and inspiring content, but I've made a shift in how I am marketing my business.
Using social media for marketing my practice no longer feels aligned with me.
In 2025, you'll be seeing me sharing some helpful content here, but also sharing more on my blog and maybe on YouTube later this year (that 2nd one is yet to be determined ๐)
If you've been a client of mine, I would love for you to share about my services with your friends that might benefit and leave me a review on Google if you haven't already. This is how my practice is growing right now and what I'm choosing to lean in to.

Yes, I share parts of my life on this platform, including my own story with nutrition and the health habits that have helped me optimize my metabolism.
But you won't see me sharing photos or videos of myself in a bikini, implying that when you work with me, you can look like me.
Not that there's anything wrong with posting photos of yourself by the pool ๐
But this platform is full of health coaches and influencers sending the message, "follow my plan and you will look like me."
And it most cases, that's just not true.
Your body is unique, and there is no guarantee that if you eat and exercise exactly like someone else, you'll get a body like hers.
And this just sets us up for comparison, discouragement, and self-hatred. None of which is helpful for truly transforming your habits and your health.
So if no one's told you recently, your body is good.
Even if...
๐ You have some work to do to improve your health
๐You're going through a stage of life that's left you feeling like a stranger in your own body
๐You've totally ignored your health for years
๐ You've abused your body with years of dieting and restriction
๐ or your body just isn't responding the way you think it should
..your body is good.
Stop looking for "the plan" that will give you the 10 steps to finally get a perfect body and start asking yourself what YOUR body needs to start thriving.

This is a hard truth about weight loss โฌ๏ธ
95% of people who go on a diet either fail to lose weight, or fail to keep it off.
Those numbers are bleak, but that doesn't mean we throw in the towel on attempting to reach a healthier weight.
It means we need a different strategy. Obviously, the way we've been taught to diet just doesn't work.
Why do diets fail?
1๏ธโฃ They're overly restrictive, and you just can't stick with it for the long term. If you love pasta, then you're only going to be able to stick with a keto diet for so long before you decide you just don't love your life without carbs.
2๏ธโฃ Typical diets slow down your metabolism, making is nearly impossible to maintain your weight loss. This is called metabolic adaptation! The faster you lose weight, the bigger the impact on your metabolism!
3๏ธโฃ Your diet didn't help you change your habits and lifestyle, or fix your relationship with food.
4๏ธโฃ You're trying to follow a cookie cutter plan instead of figuring out what works for YOUR life and YOUR body.
If you want to be a part of the 5% that actually loses weight and keeps it off, you have to commit to the long game.
Results that LAST requires...
๐ Prioritizing a healthy metabolism over seeing the scale move as quickly as possible
๐ Building habits that slowly become a part of who you are (instead of trying to add 10 new habits all at once)
๐ Doing the mindset work to develop a healthier relationship with food. This one is non-negotiable for lasting results!

Calories simply aren't the whole story.
If you've ever tried to lose weight by following a 1200 calorie diet, you probably already know this is true.
You set your calorie goal for weight loss, you track everything you eat, and you start losing weight.
But a few weeks in...
๐ซ You're hungry and cranky
๐ซ You can't stop thinking about tortilla chips and ice cream
๐ซ The scale stops moving and just won't budge
You wonder if your metabolism is broken. Or maybe you just don't have enough willpower.
I promise, this has nothing to do with your lack of willpower.
This strategy simply doesn't work for long term weight loss.
When it comes to weight loss, QUANTITY (how much you eat) matters, but so does QUALITY.
Going beyond calories and fueling your body with the right amount of nutrient-dense foods that also support gut health and hormone balance will lead to sustainable weight loss.

What are the best probiotics for weight loss?
Here are a few specific strains of bacteria that have been shown in studies to help with weight loss:
