Remember when this was a weaving account LOL!!!!!! Jason & I have been busy soaking up literally so much family + friend time, as well as enjoying our first spring here in Connecticut, while also spending time with EACH OTHER because we’re grossly in LOVE!!!!! Hello, my name is Ashley & I am the five head behind Hawke Design!!! I’m originally from Michigan, bopped over to West Virginia for 6 years, & recently moved to Connecticut with my cutie fam for my job. By day, I help run a clinical trial using tango to help breast cancer survivors & by night, I make silly art, weave, read, or rot. I’ve been weaving for 6 years & have been gluing beads onto thrifted art for 3 months. I drink an iced oat milk latte every morning. I’m still afraid to show my parents any new tattoos that I get. I have my PhD in biomechanics. My dog is cuter than any other creature on this planet. I love tortilla chips & fall & the THEATRE & gin & tonics & boxing (this is my new personality, have you noticed yet) & I love reading (now!!!)!!!!!!! Hello, we had the most glorious weekend last weekend in NYC, seeing Taskmaster Live and Hadestown, & then we came home & I immediately got sick with the flu? Norovirus? Some other illness that makes you sleep on the bathroom floor????? So I’ve been slowly recovering from that!!! And then, you know, the general state of all things makes posting on social media feel weird. But I am here to offer a little sort of reprieve from doomscrolling (because seriously, protect your brains — you can’t fight the good fight with bad brains) with silly little Heated Rivalry bead art because I drank the koolaid & my life is forever changed.
