Introducing: Summer Successful Transition to Kindergarten

Get ready for kindergarten with a FREE opportunity for both children and parents! Wethersfield Public Schools (WPS) and the Wethersfield Early Childhood Collaborative (WECC), with grant funding from the CT Department of Economic & Community Development, are proud to offer the Summer Successful Transition to Kindergarten Program.

This fun, play-based program is designed to help rising kindergarteners feel excited, prepared, and connected before that first big day while giving parents the tools and confidence to support their child every step of the way.

Program Highlights:

🌟 For Children: A fun 8-hour (2 hours/day) kindergarten experience with circle time, stories, center activities, and snacks.

🌟 For Parents: A valuable 8-hour (2 hours/day) introduction to WPS, plus resources to support your child’s transition.

We know schedules can be tricky! Attend in a way that works best for your family—whether it’s a few days, splitting time, or sending a caregiver.

**Please note** - In order to attend the program, your student's Kindergarten registration must be complete and approved with all required documents submitted to your child's school including up to date medical forms by June 12, 2026.
