Years ago, we built custom manager desks for . Unfortunately, one was damaged in a flood last year. Today we sent out the replacements, and we couldn't be happier to help them get their space back to normal.

From render to reality.
This feature wall is an actual topographic map of Pikes Peak, wrapped up and around the walls to flow naturally with the space. GBD handled the custom design, with the overall project led by Echo Architecture, and we handled the precision build, including tricky custom cuts around vents and fire sprinklers, and even hand-cut the steel baseboard to match the topography. Challenging work, but the result speaks for itself.

Sometimes the last we see of a piece is when it loads onto the truck.

We partnered with Studio 10 to refresh the amenity spaces at Snowmass Club, a fractional luxury residence in Colorado. This comfortable landing zone just off the elevators sets the tone for the whole experience. Custom benches were designed to tie seamlessly into the ceiling beam detail, while integrated storage around the fireplace adds both function and warmth. A subtle but impactful space, designed to welcome residents in and reflect the elevated, resort-style living throughout.

Last year, we had the pleasure of transforming a Colorado residence with two custom-built-ins, a bedroom wardrobe, and a hallway closet, all crafted to maximize every inch while maintaining a clean midcentury modern aesthetic. Like they’ve always been there. Loved bringing this one to life alongside Alex at Honeycomb Construction.

Designed specifically for this private residence, this piece was all about maximizing the space while keeping things comfortable, functional, and tailored to how the homeowners actually live.
We partnered with Ramos Upholstery to bring the seating to life, dialing in every detail for a seamless fit within the dining area.
And because dining spaces today often double as workspaces, we integrated hidden outlets and charging stations beneath the seats, making it just as practical for morning emails as it is for evening dinners.
This is what we love about custom work. Every detail has a purpose, and every piece is built to fit not just the space, but the lifestyle.

Tucked into the mountains of Bailey, Colorado, this private retreat designed by OZ Architecture is a sanctuary for leaders and educational groups to slow down, connect, and recharge, and we were honored to be part of bringing that vision to life.
We crafted custom reclaimed wood sofas for the outdoor patio, built to match the spirit of the space: grounded, intentional, and made to last.

Welcome to the second installment of our “What We Do” series, highlighting the work that defines GBD
Retail Spaces:
Retail design is a balancing act. These spaces need to catch the eye, guide movement, frame product, and reflect a brand’s identity, all while standing up to constant traffic and daily wear.
We work closely with our clients to make sure every element feels seamless. Line of sight, lighting, material choice, and brand aesthetic are considered alongside durability and function. We hand-select materials, fabricate in-house, and build with longevity in mind, ensuring the space looks intentional from day one and continues to perform for years to come.
Scroll through a few of our favorite retail projects, and reach out if you’re creating a space where design and durability need to work together.

Years ago, this shop landed on the show Framework on Spike TV. A wild ride. Big builds, tight timelines, and a crash course in doing good work with cameras rolling. The host was Common, and yes, he was as sharp and sincere as you’d hope.
Fast forward to Sundance 2018. We built a TV set for the festival, and by pure chance, Common was being interviewed on it. Ran into him between takes. He remembered me from the show and was so genuinely excited to reconnect.
The clipping from The Denver Post marks a chapter when things felt big, new, and a little terrifying.
Different scale now. Same mindset. Build it right and see where the work takes us next.
