Project P Garage started out as a family and friends getting together and working on projects on the cars they love.

Most people wonder what the "P" in Project P Garage stands for. Founders Justin Aquines, Francis Lubanga and Noly Medina figured it stands for whatever word that you can insert that started with the letter "P" that pertained to the group. “Pals”, “Perfectionist”, “Pinoy”, were a few words we came up with in the beginning and it grew from there. Jokingly we would use words like “Poser”, “Painful” (

Spent 42 hours in total over the past couple of weeks to get my cousin’s 1984 Porsche 944 back together after a long hiatus. We removed the exhaust, transmission, torque tube and damaged damper plate and replaced it. Started early in the morning and worked right through to the evening. We even started 7pm at night and worked to midnight in the cold. We are 96% down with only vacuum and fuel lines, throttle body and shifter cable to install. I’m happy of the work we performed and proud of my cousin for working hard to get this project completed. 👍 😊❤️

The s13 sounds pretty good despite the timing not set or the idle. Not bad for first start up since the timing chain has been replaced.

The S13 is back together again. One set back is the aluminum radiator is clogged so I will have to drain the coolant and place the stock one back in. After that I can get the engine to operating temperature and set the timing and idle. It has been a productive day.

Tearing in to the XK8 coupe. Top ends seems to move freely. Definitely seized on the bottom end. Possibly the connecting rod bearing or one or more pistons. I will continue again later and remove the radiator and other engine accessories so that I can pull the motor later. Because the engine does not spin, I will have to pull the engine with the torque converter connected to the ring gear.

Passenger side valve gasket installed on the R500. No more oil leaks or burning oil smell. Flushed out the heater core and topped off the coolant. I’m happy. 😃

Spent the day doing a S13 timing chain replacement. Finally have some time to work on this car. Replacing the timing chain as it was not running correctly could never dial in the distributor. It was always maxed out on adjustment to the left or to the right. The rpm at idle was erratic. It never idled smoothly. After contemplating the problem for years, (because we rebuilt the engine and replace the timing chain) I suspected it was a poorly manufactured timing and kit. Evidently other people with the ka24de engine have experienced this.

The stock single row radiator on the Subaru started leaking. Decided to do an upgrade. Installed an aluminum 2 row radiator, made top mount brackets, modified the stock fans to fit the new radiator and hand the over flow container. Installed a 10 row transmission cooler and flushed the coolant. Ready for hauling, towing and the brutal desert summer.
