Family owned construction company looking for a highly motivated and professional person who wants to learn the carpentry trade along the best in the business. This is a physically demanding job that requires heavy lifting, product procurement, basic demolition work, ability to listen and follow directions well, and a clean driving record. Job requires you to drive a small dump truck from time to time. You must have a reliable vehicle to transport you to and from work. Position is full time, Monday through Friday from 7:30am-4pm.

Below is a summary of job duties that one might encounter as a carpenters assistant. Anything you are not familiar with your Lead Carpenter will teach you.

· Demolition--Jobsite preparation before and after are crucial

· Clean up jobsites as they progress. Pick up and haul away trash

· Use of plastic, tape. Paper and ram board to make walls or protective coverings

· Help our painters prep for painting

· Baseboards and moldings--help measure and cut

· Caulking

· Prioritize duties and work with a sense of urgency

· Utilize a wide variety of hand and portable power tools.

· Must be able to maintain a clean jobsite free of tripping hazards and unnecessary obstacles.

· Come ready to work in a fast-paced environment and ready to learn

· Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

· Timely arrival to jobsites

• Must be able to bend, squat and kneel.
• Must be capable of climbing ladders and scaffolds and working at heights.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Pay is contingent upon work experience. Pay can range from $17-$20/hour.
