Carroll County Education Association is located in Westminister, MD. Our members make education in our communities possible.
Through bargaining, employee advocacy, grassroots organizing and political action we work to amplify the voice of educators.
CCEA Honors 250 Years of the American Story.
For nearly 250 years, the American story has been written by ordinary people doing extraordinary things—striving toward the ideals of liberty, equality, and opportunity.
In this series, members will read historical documents and share what they love about the American story. Together, these voices remind us that history is not only something we inherit, but something we continue to shape.
Thank you for joining us as we honor 250 years of the American story.

Happy last day of school! Please follow along with me this summer!
Here's a little about me:
✅ I'm running for BOE on a slate with Julie Walsh For Carroll who helped found and work alongside me as part of the Carroll Education Coalition, a nonpartisan group of residents formed in 2025 during the budget/staffing crises focused on financial/resource issues.
✅ My Priorities: ensuring adequate resources, securing capital improvements, long-term planning
✅ I will be on the ballot for the Board of Education in November.
Hope you can help me -- all links can be found in link tree in Bio:

My motto (lesson learned from my advocacy efforts to date): Sometimes what feels impossible can be possible when someone speaks up.

Early voting starts tomorrow, so I wanted to share a little bit more about me and why I've spent my career in public service.
I went into public service because I love the impact that can be made through government that serves all. In my first career, I taught American government. The political process was something I watched from the outside, but when I moved to working for the government, I found that I liked being in the depths of things. Rather than fighting political battles, I enjoyed working on ways that we make government work better, one action at a time.
It was my career, I earned a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) and became a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), to further my skills in building effective organizations and implementing beneficial programs to further the mission of the organization.
Sometimes that work was on big things like implementing new legislation and programs, working to build organizations, and putting new efforts and resources toward major changes. These were always exciting projects.
Sometimes it was overhauling programs to work better, finding ways to meet organizational needs within the law and policies. These would often happen through cross disciplinary teams working together.
Most often, it was in small things like making tweaks to processes, identifying and working to solve the root cause of an issue or better communicating something to those involved. I was always most fulfilled when there was something new to solve.
I bring this energy to the campaign, and I'd bring it to office. I look forward to the opportunity for a new set of challenges. Over any politics, I hope for the chance to get to define a path forward: where we can focus on good, effective government that serves its constituents first.
I encourage all to make a plan to vote in the primary if you are registered with a party. Your vote always matters.

BOE of Education will not be on the Primary Ballot. It is still important to vote in both the Primary and General Election.
☑️ Early Voting for the primary election runs from Thursday, June 11 to Thursday, June 18. The Primary Election is Tuesday, June 23.
As a reminder, the BOE candidates are not on the primary ballot, but will be on the 2026 General Election ballot in the fall.

Welcome to CCEA Honors 250 Years of the American Story.
As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, we pause to reflect on the people, ideals, and events that have shaped our shared history. The American story is one of aspiration and perseverance, challenge and progress—a story that continues to unfold with each generation.
In this series, members will bring history to life by reading historical documents and sharing what they love about the American story. Through these voices, we honor our past while inspiring thoughtful reflection about our future.
As educators, we believe that understanding history strengthens our democracy and helps prepare the next generation of engaged citizens. We invite you to listen, learn, and consider your own place in the continuing story of America.
