We’re excited to have Walter join our team as an intern in the Yard, where he’ll continue to grow his skill set learning more about construction materials and our safety culture.

A piece of history is getting an upgrade!

Our team is restoring the 1936 five-span, three-arch, open-spandrel concrete bridge that carries US 40 (National Pike) over Conococheague Creek in Hagerstown, MD.

A major focus is the demolition and replacement of the 372-ft superstructure. We’re completing 11 deck pours using an engineered sequence: three pours per arch span, starting at the center to properly reload the substructure. Deck placements will move east to west, then reverse west to east, meeting in the middle.

Closed to traffic in late June 2025, the bridge is scheduled to reopen in late summer 2026, with full project completion expected in early 2027.

Team Kokosing was proud to participate in Central Ohio’s Race for the Cure.

This year marks the 6th year our team has come together to help raise funds and build awareness for this important cause. We were honored to walk in support of survivors, fighters, families, and everyone impacted by breast cancer.

This Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication to protect our freedom will never be forgotten!

Mental health is an essential part of our safety culture.

We’re quick to monitor our physical health, but mental health matters just as much. Stress and other mental health challenges can affect focus and decision-making on the jobsite—putting you, your family, and your teammates at risk. Check in with one another, speak up, and seek support when needed. Together, we can foster an environment that strengthens the safety and well-being of our team members!

Kokosing Industrial is honored to receive the 2026 Outstanding Small Project Safety Award from The Coalition for Construction Safety - CCS for the Kokomo Peak Excess Flow Treatment Facility project.

Kokosing’s number one core value is Safety First, and this commitment is deeply embedded in our culture, our management philosophy, and daily operations. This value is not simply a statement—it is consistently demonstrated through our training programs, leadership approach, and dedication to developing a strong safety culture.

Completed two months ahead of schedule, the project involved more than 100,000 total labor hours across all onsite contractors. Kokosing team members contributed more than 73,000 of those hours without a single lost-time or recordable injury—an outcome made possible through strong coordination, clear communication, and an unwavering focus on safety by team members.

We are grateful to our team members, the City of Kokomo, and our subcontractors for their shared commitment to this goal. Congratulations on this achievement!
