Earl is SUPER sad because he's the only cat at Petsmart right now that hasn't had a single interest. 😔 Which is absolutely mind boggling because he is the true definition of what a cat Teddy Bear is. He LOVES LOVES LOVES people. He would be so grateful if you shared him!

👑 Meet Earl of Crinkle 👑

His Royal Fluffiness is seeking loyal subjects.

Estimated to be 6-8 years old, Earl of Crinkle was found outdoors by animal control looking far less regal than he does today. His coat was completely matted and covered in dirt, sticks, and ticks, but his sweet personality quickly stole everyone’s heart.

The Earl came to Scruffy Paws for medical care, and we were certain someone would come looking for him. After all, he was already neutered. But no one ever did.

Now he’s ready to find a kingdom of his own.

One of Earl’s most charming features is his adorably crinkled ears. We suspect old untreated aural hematomas left them permanently folded, but we think they give him character. His future family should be comfortable occasionally cleaning them, as debris can become trapped more easily.

At 16 pounds, Earl is a substantial gentleman with an even bigger heart. He’s an absolute mush who loves attention, ear scratches, and being carried around like a giant baby. He seems happiest when he can have his humans all to himself and soak up every bit of affection available.

His luxurious long coat will require regular grooming, and his recent bloodwork looked great.

After years of adventures we can only guess at, Earl of Crinkle is ready to retire from life as a wandering nobleman and settle into a warm home filled with love.

Mama Pepper update! 🤗

"Hello Scruffy Paws team! I wanted to send along a little update on Mama Pepper since she's been my adorable freeloader for a year!

She settled into being an 'only child' very quickly and is the best velcro cat I could have asked for when looking for a companion. She adores being close to her person, like literally needs to have a paw on me when next to me.

Pepper has been the absolute best and I still can't thank you all enough for giving me the chance to have this void be my void.

I added some photos of her and her antics for you all too! I hope she brings some cheer to you all today.

Another fun filled day yesterday of spays, neuters, exams, vaccines, bloodworks, f***ls, and of course love and kisses. 💜🐾

Yesterday's recap:
♀️ 7 spays
♂️ 8 neuters
🩺 8 exams - some for vaccines, some for rechecks, some for sick visits.

We had cats of all kinds yesterday. Owned. Shelter. Animal control. Feral. Newly adopted. And we 🫶 them all!

Our low-cost spay/neuter services were much appreciated yesterday (and always). Everyone was so extremely nice and appreciative and we thank you all for your such kind words regarding our team and organization. 😘

Oyster (gray/white) just got new foster kittens!

While Oyster patiently waits for his forever family to find him, he is enjoying teaching these youngsters how to properly cat. 😻

We were back at yesterday! 💪

💔 $5 Friday: Help Iris & Her Siblings 💔

On the 4th of July, we received an urgent message from another rescue asking if we could help a kitten whose eye was protruding from her socket. That kitten was Iris.

We stepped up for Iris and quickly learned she had 5 siblings who were also in terrible shape — suffering from URIs, dehydration, diarrhea, eye issues, and being severely underweight. A f***l test revealed they had nearly every parasite imaginable. They were literally being eaten from the inside out. 😢

We started them on antibiotics and dewormer, and thanks to our amazing vet, Dr. Lorenson, they are now receiving care in her foster home.

Sadly, Iris’ eye cannot be saved and she will need an enucleation once she is stronger and healthier.

We are so thankful we were able to help these kittens, but cases like this are incredibly draining — emotionally, physically, and financially. We need your help. ❤️
