What a great week in Atlanta, Georgia at the SkillsUSA National Conference!

As the awards ceremony came to a close, our students may not have placed this year, but they are still champions in every sense of the word. They represented our town, our community, and the State of Rhode Island with professionalism, pride, and determination.

Throughout this journey, they gained invaluable experiences, developed new skills, built lasting friendships, and learned life lessons that cannot be measured by medals alone. These lessons will stay with them and help shape their futures for years to come.

We could not be any prouder of these outstanding young individuals. Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment and thank you for representing us so well. Your hard work, dedication, and character have made us all proud.

: Last month, Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Lincoln High School for its new joint aviation program with Westerly High School! The program is now one of nine new CTE pathways approved by RIDE for the 2026-27 school year.
