THE “ROAD TO THE CROWN” STARTS SATURDAY AT CARAWAY SPEEDWAY
Richest Limited Late Model Series in North Carolina Set for Asheboro Track

(Sophia, NC): Caraway Speedway has a history of big paying events. Russell Hackett always put some “big money” on the line and his son, Darren is no stranger to hosting big-time events at the .455 mile track near Asheboro, NC.

This Saturday, March 28th, is no different as the speedway hosts the first of four races paying a whopping $5,000.00 to win in the tracks featured Limited Late Model Division. The four races, each with a purse of $19K, feature 99 laps of LLM action with some of the best area drivers going for the $5,000.00 payday.

The “Crown” events are part of a ten week, 15 race chase for the right to become the first NASCAR Local Racing Series presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts Champion since Caraway rejoined the NASCAR Family for the 2026 season.

Headlining the entry list is Dylan Ward, the winner of the “61st Season Opener” back on March 8th. Ward held off a charging Lanie Buice and Austin Harris to take the win in the 75 lapper. Other top finishers were Clint King, Michael Fose and Brian Rose. Other top finishers included Late Model veteran, Stacy Puryear, Donnie Apple, Cam Thomas and the 2025 Caraway Limited Late Model Champion, Bryson Brinkley. Many of those drivers are expected to enter along with several other area drivers possibly swelling the starting lineup to over twenty Limited Late Models.

Other races on Saturday include the Chargers, Mini Stocks, UCARS, 602 Modifieds, Crown Vics, Legends and Bandoleros. All these divisions will be chasing Caraway Speedway points and the Chargers, Mini Stocks, UCARS and 602 Mods also earn points towards the NASCAR Local, Regional and National points.

Results from 4 races at Florence Motor Speedway Great job !! The first race was impressive but the last race of 75 laps parking it in 3rd, was growth of dedication and determination of over coming everything that comes your way

Happy Labor Day!! 🇺🇸 One more race for the weekend First of five races for this weekend, Nick 28th ( started last because of work and wasnt able to be there to qualified) in just 11 laps because the race was timed out finished impressively in 15th 2nd race ended with an unfortunate incident to what was looking like a good race til he had no where to go in which too much damage to finish DNF The 3rd race (few hours from the 2nd race) the team fixed the car and finished in 6th The 4th and final 75 lap race at Florence Motor Speedway, the machine brought home 3rd Today is another race day at Dillion Motor Speedway Good luck Nick!! NEXT WEEKEND: 2nd Annual "Southern Showdown" at Florence Motor Speedway

Three days of racing, Friday August 29th - Sunday August 31st.

Friday will be ran in conjunction with the CARS Tour and Allison Legacy Race Series. Track points and INEX points will be awarded on Friday. Saturday will consist of twin events and the SC Vintage Race Series with INEX Regional Points being awarded. Sunday will see a longer race for each division and INEX National Points will be rewarded.
