*Update* Contest is done, @sho_farm won! Coolest knife giveaway ever?! @witriknives and I were talking this spring and thought it would be cool to make a knife using things I harvested. Typically I’ve had bad experiences with custom knives. Most I’ve seen and received have acid-etched folding patterns, and /or blades are too thick, too heavy, and are basically shiny paperweights. I gave Micah the exact specs I wanted like weight and length, as well as sending him Chaga and birch I harvested, and he put it together into what is fat and away the coolest custom knife I’ve seen. And it’s actually useful. If you’re interested he can do the same for you or another forager in your life with different woods and wild materials. Super cool present for outdoor leaning chefs or people who want something that symbolizes their connection to the land. There was enough material for a petty knife leftover, so Micah made one for us to giveaway and spread the word.
