Goodbyes are hard when you’re used to seeing your friends every day, but simply saying see you later makes the end a bit easier. Celebrating one of our three graduates today with a very special YES day. So proud of this guy and who he has grown to be so far.

We were so excited to welcome my friend Luci from Luci’s Lather Lab last week to help our friends make special sugar scrubs for their Mother’s Day gift!

We are looking for a warm, dependable, and engaging long-term substitute to join our family child care program during a family leave. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children in a close-knit, home-based environment and is comfortable helping maintain a calm, nurturing, and organized daily routine.

Responsibilities
Supervise and care for children in a safe and positive environment
Assist with daily routines including meals, naps, diapering/toileting, and transitions
Lead or assist with play-based learning activities, crafts, outdoor play, and reading
Maintain cleanliness and organization of child care spaces
Communicate professionally with the provider and families as needed
Follow all licensing and safety guidelines
Qualifications
Experience working with infants and/or young children preferred
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Patient, nurturing, and energetic
Comfortable working in a home setting
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Must pass required background checks per state regulations

Can provide consistency and loving care for the children
Works well independently
Is flexible and team-oriented
Understands the importance of creating a warm and welcoming environment for children and families
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience

It’s a beautiful day for a deck nap or if you’ve outgrown nap, fun tabletop activities!

Beginning the end of June as well as July, we will have three openings in our family childcare program.
* The openings are for children ages 2 years old and older, however we will enroll a younger child with a sibling.
*Our program is run by an OT with many years of pediatric experience woven into the curriculum.
*We are a nationally accredited program, with a five star rating on Maine’s quality rating scale.
*We pride ourselves on low staff to child ratio of 4:1 with long term, highly experienced and dedicated staff without constant turnover.
*Two highly nutritious meals and a snack is provided daily, with all meals made from scratch on premises.
*We spend a great deal of time outdoors and enjoy walks to a local field, horse farm or around the block visiting our neighbors.
*Sun hats, sun shirts and rain suits are provided
*We utilize Experience Early Learning (formerly Mother Goose Time), a research based curriculum for infants through pre-k.
*Our staff holds their director credential as well as their infant toddler credential with the family childcare credential in progress, demonstrating our passion for continued education.
*We are able to provide individualized intimate care due to our low ratios.
*We use the Brightwheel app to provide consistent communication as well as updates, pictures and videos of your child’s day.
