Our YES Art Works artists are here, there, and everywhere this summer! From Waterville to Kennebunk, stay tuned for more chances to meet our wonderful artists and purchase their beautiful art.

Sharing a great opportunity this summer! YES Art Works will be participating!

Telling Our Power will bring together disabled youth in Maine to explore self-advocacy, storytelling, and the arts. Through creative writing, visual art, dance, and digital storytelling, participants will learn to share their experiences, build confidence, and develop skills to advocate for themselves and their communities.

The program, supported by a Projects for Peace grant, includes workshops led by disability advocates and inclusive artists, time to create personal art and stories, and a closing celebration event.

📅 Dates: July 7th-10th
💲 Cost: Free

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Apply by June 19, 2026 — the sooner the better, as space is limited to 10 participants. We will notify applicants regarding participation after reviewing submissions.

Team Creative Works represented, medaled, and supported each other in the hot sun and driving rain over the weekend at the Special Olympics Maine State Summer Games up at University of Maine in Orono. Congratulations Team Creative Works. We are so proud of you!!

Our YES Art Works Augusta artists have been working diligently this spring, and their success at the Maine Pottery Tour and Open House earlier this month is proof of those efforts. Artists sold over $1,300 in paintings, jewletry, textiles, and original art. Congratulations!

We are so proud to be on Team Best Buddies Maine. Congratulations on an amazing walk and fundraiser!

We are so proud of our Special Olympics Maine athletes, who medaled at the State Swim Meet at Colby College last Friday. Congratulations to all who participated!

Join YES Art Works artists at Downtown Yoga and Arts Center, Augusta, this Friday and learn how to paint your aura. A collection of art is featured at this wonderful venue that will be for sale until June 26. Refreshments provided. (Note: Venue requires stairs to enter.)
