Congratulations to the Allele Diagnostics' team, who grabbed second place in the Artel Pipetting Challenge during Medical Laboratory Professionals Week back in April. Additional kudos on their annual t-shirt design contest, this year featuring Freddie Mercury in his iconic stance holding a pipette!

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the end of slavery in the United States. On this date, enslaved African Americans in Texas received the news they were free, 2.5 years after Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.

We recognize the importance of Juneteenth as a celebration of liberation but also a time to reflect on racial injustice and to continue to educate ourselves not just today but every day to build a better future.
