I am proud and pleased to say that Stars, the new EP by the band COSMIC, is now available on all streaming platforms. Produced, recorded and mixed by yours truly at Garage Mahal Recording Studio and mastered at Pat Keane Mastering, it’s the third release by them that I have worked on in some capacity. It’s also the best batch of songs they’ve written and best mixes I’ve ever done.

Sad news: a Garage Mahal alumni, Ken McCullick, has passed. Ken played guitar for the band Black Orange and was the super laid back member, just a really nice guy. He and I would chat on FB messenger, and he told me that he was gravely ill, so I just listened and tried to keep the conversation light. He will be missed.

50 years ago today saw the release of the greatest rock and roll album AND the greatest live album (that isn’t completely live) of all time. My life would be extremely different had this album never happened.

Kris and Courtney, vocalists for Cold Creeps, were back at Garage Mahal Recording Studio twice this week to lay down tracks for the EP. Lead vocals on Tuesday, backing vocals on Thursday. It’s always a good time with them.
The new tracks by The Bank Mules are now completed: recorded and mixed by yours truly at Garage Mahal Recording Studio and mastered by Pat Keane at Keane Mastering. Really great old timey music and an extremely enjoyable project. You can listen and purchase on Bandcamp:

Late last Thursday night I received an email from an old friend. Rene Braun is a photographer extraordinaire (His shots of By Blood Alone are excellent), and he needed a studio on short notice. He came in to work on some of his songs and we tracked vocals and 6-string ukulele. He sings well and songs were heartwarming and charming. The 6 string uke sounded really good as well.
