Yesterday, we recognized our team members who have been part of the PDC family for 5 or more years. We spent the afternoon at Pineland Farms building planters, enjoying the outdoors, and celebrating some of the incredible people who make PDC such a special place.
Help us recognize these amazing team members by leaving a thank you, congratulations, or favorite memory in the comments!
Not every child can jump from BIG movement straight into calm focus.
Sometimes their bodies need support slowing down, regulating, and getting organized again before the next activity.
We love using calming sensory strategies and deep pressure input to help support smoother transitions, attention, and engagement throughout therapy
POV: The laminator is working overtime
Behind every therapy session is a whole lot of prep work from cutting, laminating, organizing, and creating activities tailored to each child’s goals
From visual supports to fine motor games and speech activities, these little materials help make learning engaging, hands-on, and FUN.
Safe to say… our laminator deserves employee of the month
Life Size Battleship… sidewalk chalk edition
All you need is chalk, a driveway or sidewalk, and a few items to use as your “ships” (cones, stuffed animals, balls, etc.)!
Draw one large grid (10x10) outside with numbers across the top and letters down the side. Have one player secretly place their ships on different spaces of the board. Then take turns calling out coordinates (example: B4 or H7) to try and “hit” the ships!
Mark hits and misses with chalk, beanbags, or small toys as you play.
