Overnight it was frost.
By sunrise it looked like gold.
Same window. Same ice.
Just different light.
Funny how that works.

Couldn’t have cleaned the outside of my window even if I tried.
28 floors up. Zero survival instincts.
So winter handled it.
Showed up overnight and turned my bedroom window into a limited-edition art print.
I’ll allow it.

Toronto at golden hour.
The clouds showed up loud, the skyline stayed unbothered.
Sometimes the best flex is just… standing tall in the light.

Morning rain in Toronto. A 9-stop ND, clouds tearing past Old City Hall.
I wanted to see how stone holds still while the sky rushes on.
This building doesn’t move, but the city around it never stops.

Woke up feeling like a browser with 37 tabs open and nothing loading.
Stepped out on the balcony hoping the skyline would sort me out—but Toronto had other plans.
Fog thick enough to lose your thoughts in. The CN Tower? Barely there. Looked like it ghosted the city.
Shot some frames anyway. Because if the light doesn’t know what it’s doing, then I guess I’m in good company.
Some mornings are just a vibe check from the universe.
This one said: “You’re not lost. You’re just… buffering.”

“There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.” — Bernard Williams
Didn’t sleep much. One of those nights. But then the sun came up—like it always does—and I caught it rising behind the CN Tower from my balcony. No fanfare. Just light slicing through the concrete and cold, like it had something to prove.
Sunrise isn’t soft. It’s stubborn. It shows up even when everything feels heavy. Especially when everything feels heavy.

I’ve been wanting to witness the aurora since the day I got to know of the existence of this phenomenon. I’m nothing short of lucky to have been in Canada on this rare occasion of extremely heightened solar activity this past week.
Driving 2.5 hrs up north paid off, and I was able to get some sick lights in my frames.
The only thing I wish was if people picked up litter after them. I was deeply saddened witnessing the litter left behind by so many people who had travelled to witness the aurora. People were also extremely loud and disrespectful to others around them who may have wanted to witness this beautiful natural event in peace.
